Kyabje Chokling Mingyur Dewey Dorje Rinpoche is the second son of the late and highly respected Dzogchen master, Kyabje Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche, and is the fourth reincarnation of the famous King of Treasure Revealers Chokgyur Dechen Zhikpo Lingpa (1829-70). Chokgyur Lingpa was one of the chief discoverers of Guru Padmasambhava’s hidden Dharma treasures, who revealed the 39-volume Profound Revealed Treasures of Chokgyur Lingpa cycle of Vajrayana practices and direct instructions now widely practiced by the Nyingma and Kagyu schools. The current Tsikey Chokling Rinpoche was recognized and enthroned by the late 16th Gyalwang Karmapa Rangjung Rigpey Dorje and trained with many of the foremost masters of the Kagyu and Nyingma schools such as His Holiness the 16th Karmapa, Venerable Thrangu Rinpoche, Venerable Tenga Rinpoche, H.E. Kalu Rinpoche, Kyabje Dudjom Rinpoche, Kyabje Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche, and his own father, Kyabje Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche.

The Vajrasattva of a Single Form practice that will be extensively taught and intensively practiced during this retreat is renowned as one of the Three Secret Bindu Cycles of Vajrasattva, Vajrakilaya, and Heruka and is from theProfound Revealed Treasures of Chokgyur Lingpa. Vajrasattva, as lord of the mandala, is the embodiment of the wisdom of all of the Buddhas and is the most eminent skillful means to purify all of our negativities and obstacles, fulfill all of our wishes, complete the two accumulations, actualize the two-fold realization, and accomplish the two-fold benefit. Because its short lineage has remained unbroken and untainted to this day, the lineage of Chokgyur Lingpa’s profound treasure is very timely for our 21st century and still has the full potency of the blessings of Padmasambhava while being suffused with the dakinis’ warm breath.
